The United Ghanaian Community Church (UGCC) is a chartered congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the Philadelphia Presbytery, serving Christians of all denominations the Ghanaian way. Our congregational membership is multi-denominational, for our doors are open to people of all denominations who desire to worship the Lord the Ghanaian way.
We are united by our common belief in God as creator and sustainer of the universe, … in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, incarnate of God, … in the Holy Spirit as the immediate presence of God amongst the people of God, … in the Church universal as the body of Christ present in the world, bearing witness to the ongoing work of God and participating in it, … in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting, … and in the Bible as the inerrant and inspired Word of God.
Our purpose is to “To Know Christ And To Make Him Known,” by calling men, women, and children to personal faith in Jesus Christ, and equipping them to be active disciples, growing in holiness and in service through worship, fellowship, prayer, preaching, teaching, and acts of love, as prescribed by the Word of God, so that at the end of time, every knee shall bend in submission to Jesus, and every tongue will acknowledge that Christ is Lord.
In our community worship, in our disciple-making Christian education, in our children and youth programs, in our outreach programs, in our women’s and men’s ministries, in our family life programs, in our prayer ministry, in our music ministry, and in our congregational care ministry — in all of these ministries and programs — we provide a church home, a place to “come and see”, a place to belong, a place to experience love, forgiveness, renewal and spiritual growth, and a place to serve, worship and celebrate the Lord the Ghanaian way.
