Men’s Ministry

The objective of the UGCC Men’s Ministry is to disciple and equip the men of the United
Ghanaian Community Church in their roles as men of God, whether married, single, older, or
younger. We seek to provide a venue for modeling the life of Christ to men in the churc. We
seek to do this through teaching, fellowship, and service; providing opportunity for fostering
spiritual friendships and developing discipling relationships, so that men can grow in conformity
to Christ, specifically in their roles as men both in the church and at home.
The rationale for this is that men have been given the key role in the Body of Christ. All
believing men of the church have the responsibility to walk with Christ in obedience and grow in
conformity to his image. Proverbs 27.17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens
another.” The principle given here is that men need the encouragement, teaching, fellowship, and
modeling of the Christian life from other men.
Our ministry strives to bring men to maturity in Christ (Col 1:28; Eph 4-6) by helping them
understand God’s purpose for them and fulfill their God-given roles as men. We strive to

encourage the men of UGCC to exemplify Christ-likeness and godliness, and to equip them for
service in God’s kingdom
Romans 8:29 states that God’s purpose in eternity is to conform us to the image of his Son, our
Lord Jesus Christ. While on this earth, God has assigned men the role of leadership, both within
the home and in the Church. This role reflects the accountability to which God holds men of the
church.
Our Men’s Ministry is led by the UGCC Men’s Fellowship
